What the Data Analyst Learning Path is

The Data Analyst Learning Path is one of four data analytics courses on ILX Group's US website. ILX says it is delivered by its partner Simplilearn in collaboration with IBM, and that it covers concepts of data science, statistics, data analytics, business analytics, Python, Tableau and more.^[1][2]

The path mixes self-paced eLearning with live instructor-led virtual classes. After you buy, ILX sends an email that welcomes you to the Simplilearn learning portal, where you set a password and start the courses.^[1]

ILX lists what is included: the training, completion certificates from IBM and Simplilearn, a capstone project, 20+ real-life projects, and hackathons with live interaction with IBM experts.^[1]

Who it suits

ILX names banking and finance professionals, IT specialists, marketing managers and supply chain network managers as the audience. It recommends a basic knowledge of mathematics and lists no pre-course work.^[1]

That makes it a better match for someone who already works with numbers and wants structured practice in common tools than for someone who needs a formal credential. If an employer or licensing body requires a recognized qualification, check what they accept before you buy.

What the courses cover

ILX lists four courses and two electives on the path page. The descriptions below summarize ILX's own wording.^[1]

ILX's learning objectives are to understand central tendency, correlation and regression; learn SQL basics and run commands with query tools; write Python programs with variables, loops, functions and conditions; use lists, sets, dictionaries and classes; read, process and save files with Pandas; and perform analytics with Python libraries.^[1]

How the learning works

The licence runs for 12 months from the date of purchase. During that time you work through the eLearning at your own pace and can join several live virtual classes, so you can revisit content when you need to. Recordings of batch sessions are also available.^[1][3]

The learning portal works on laptops and desktop computers with the latest version of Chrome, Edge, Opera, Safari or Firefox. It also works on tablets, and ILX recommends the Simplilearn app on mobile devices.^[1]

What it costs on the US site

ILX's US site lists the Data Analyst Learning Path at $1,625. When we checked on September 30, 2026, the course page showed it at $812.50, and the sale page labeled this 50% off. ILX's sale terms said the offer ended at midnight on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, so check the current price when you read this.^[1][4][5]

ILX's terms say cards are charged in US dollars and that prices in other currencies on the site are for information only. VAT is added only to orders from the UK or the European Union.^[3]

ILX's help centre lists payment by credit or debit card, bank transfer and pro-forma invoice, with instalment plans through PayPal and Splitit. During the sale, the sale page also showed a monthly figure of $68 for this path.^[4][6]

• Ask your card issuer whether it treats a purchase from a UK seller as a foreign transaction and charges a fee.
• Read the instalment provider's terms, including any fees, before you pay monthly.
• Plan to finish within 12 months: ILX's sale terms say licence extensions are charged at the full list price.

Buying from a UK company: terms to read first

ILX runs regional versions of its website, including a US one. Its terms give company contact details in Bracknell, United Kingdom, with a UK VAT registration number, and say card payments are processed by Opayo, which ILX describes as a UK payment service provider. The US site's footer lists a New York office and a US phone number.^[1][3][7]

• No refunds on eLearning: the terms say no refunds are given for cancelling an eLearning course, no matter when you cancel, once the eLearning licence has been issued.
• The same terms also describe a 7-day money-back guarantee on products. They do not explain how this fits with the eLearning rule, so get an answer in writing before you pay.
• eLearning licences are non-transferable, and the licence ends when the licence period ends.
• An order confirmation is not a contract: ILX says the contract starts when it sends you an invoice.
• The returns section refers to the EU Distance Selling Directive and UK legislation, not to US consumer rules.

Limitations to weigh

• No formal accreditation and no formal exam; the credential is a completion certificate from IBM and Simplilearn.
• Access lasts 12 months, and extensions are charged at the full list price.
• The live-class schedule and time zone are not published on the course page.
• ILX's pages disagree in places about what the path includes.
• The course runs on Simplilearn's portal rather than ILX's own, so ask ILX who handles support questions.

• Most of the learning is self-directed; without a weekly plan, 12 months can pass quickly.

Alternatives and next steps

Compare them on the same points: the tools you practice, the hours, how live sessions are scheduled, the total cost, the refund rules and the credential you receive.
