What the course is

CourseCareers, Inc. sells online career courses. Its Data Analytics Course aims to teach what you need to know for an entry-level data analytics position and says no experience or degree is required. The instructor is Lukas Halim, whom CourseCareers describes as a business analytics senior manager at Cigna.^[1][4]

After you pass the final exam, you receive a certificate of completion and unlock the Career Launchpad, a job-search section on resumes, LinkedIn, contacting hiring managers and interviews.^[1][3]

Who it suits, and who should skip it

The course is aimed at complete beginners. CourseCareers says most learners combine it with full-time work: because it is self-paced, some students study about one hour a week and others twenty hours or more.^[1]

CourseCareers is frank about the job market. Its FAQ calls data analytics one of the most competitive fields to enter, and its course page says you need the grit for an aggressive job search that may mean constant rejection for months. It says competitive candidates are strong with data, math and pattern recognition, and double-check anything that looks off.^[1]

What the course covers

The full outline has five teaching sections, an exam section and the Career Launchpad. Each of the four tool sections includes a portfolio project.^[3]

The final exam is proctored. CourseCareers says you get two free attempts, with more available for a small fee, and passing it unlocks the Career Launchpad.^[1]

How the learning works and what you need

Everything is online and self-paced, at any time of day. After purchase you get all lessons at once, plus an optional study plan, the Coura AI learning assistant, a note-taking tool, optional accountability texts and the Discord community.^[1][2]

CourseCareers says graduates often finish in 8 to 14 weeks. Its terms give you up to one year from purchase to complete the final exam, unless you are told otherwise by email. If you paid in full, you keep access to the course and its updates for as long as the course remains available for purchase.^[1][4]

• A Windows or Mac computer; Linux and Chromebooks will not work, because you install desktop Excel, Tableau, pgAdmin and Anaconda Python.
• Excel 2021 or later, or a Microsoft 365 Personal subscription. This is the only paid software; the free online Excel lacks features the course needs.
• Tableau Public, which is free.
• For the proctored exam: a camera, a speaker and a microphone, the latest Safari or Chrome, and no headphones.

Workshops with coaches are free. Private coaching and accelerator groups are extra: CourseCareers says coaches set their own prices, that it is not affiliated with the coaches and does not profit from them, and that it vets them before listing them. Accelerator groups depend on coach availability.^[1][7]

Prices were checked on September 30, 2026. CourseCareers also offers buy now, pay later through Google Pay or Apple Pay. Extra costs can include desktop Excel, exam attempts after the first two, and any coaching you choose.^[1][7]

Both payment options come with a 14-day money-back guarantee that starts the moment you buy. Within those 14 days you can also switch courses or put your course on hold. You get only one refund per course, and you lose the right to a refund once you take the final exam, even within the 14 days.^[4][5]

On the payment plan, CourseCareers charges your card automatically four times, two weeks apart. If a payment fails, it keeps retrying and removes your course access until the payment goes through.^[4]

Limitations to keep in mind

• The certificate comes from CourseCareers after its own exam. We found no mention of accreditation or college credit on the pages we checked.
• The refund window is short, and it closes early if you sit the final exam.
• One-on-one coaching is not included in the price.
• CourseCareers itself describes data analytics as highly competitive to enter.
• You need Windows or Mac and paid desktop Excel.

• About ten hours of video is a compact core, so expect to spend much more time on exercises and projects.
• Self-paced study needs self-discipline; set a weekly schedule and a target date for the final exam.
• Some employers ask for a degree or prior experience whatever courses you have taken.

Alternatives to compare

• IBM Data Analyst Professional Certificate on Coursera: 11 self-paced courses, including Excel, SQL and Python, billed as a monthly subscription. Coursera estimates about four months at ten hours a week.
• BrainStation AI Data Analytics Certification: eight weeks of live classes, online or in New York, covering Excel, MySQL and Tableau with AI tools. The tuition is not published on its course page.
