Summary

You can read every guide without an account. We have no sign-up, contact form, newsletter, or checkout, and we do not ask for your name, email address, or payment details.
The site is funded by Google AdSense advertising and measures its own advertising and traffic with Google Ads and Google Analytics. These services run only in the regions listed below, currently the United States. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, also gives us cookie-free page statistics in every region.
In the United States you can opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information on Your Privacy Choices. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals.

Hosting and security

The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Serving a web page involves processing technical information such as your IP address, the page requested, the time of the request, and your browser type. Cloudflare also tells the site which country a request comes from, which we use only to apply the regional rules below, and runs automated security checks that may set a strictly necessary security cookie (see Cookies and Browser Storage). We also use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which gives us aggregate statistics about page views and page loading performance. It works without cookies or other browser storage and is not used for advertising. The site does not keep its own visitor-level records of these requests. Cloudflare’s handling of this information is described in its privacy policy.

Information stored in your browser

In allowed regions, our own code stores two things in your browser:

In sessionStorage, a short advertising session (30 minutes by default) that lets an eligible visit continue from a guide’s introduction to its full guide, plus data that prevents the same measurement event from being sent twice.
In localStorage, your privacy choice, if you make one.

Our own code does not set cookies. Our hosting provider may set one security cookie, and the Google services described below may set and read cookies and similar identifiers. See Cookies and Browser Storage for details.

We use Google AdSense to show advertisements on some guide pages. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.

You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google’s Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info. Google explains how it uses information from sites that use its services in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

Measurement (Google Ads and Google Analytics)

We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, for example which pages are read and which campaign a visit came from. We also report to Google Ads when a visitor appears to interact with an advertisement on our pages, so that we can measure the performance of our own advertising campaigns. This report is an estimate based on the browser’s focus moving into an advertisement; our code does not read the content of advertisements or intercept clicks.

These services may use cookies and may receive information such as your IP address, device and browser details, the pages you visit, and campaign information from the page address. Google’s use of this information is covered by Google’s privacy policy.

Regions

Advertising and Google measurement run only in allowed regions. The allowed region is currently the United States. In other regions, or when your country cannot be determined, no advertising or Google measurement scripts are loaded and our code writes nothing to your browser storage. The guides and all ordinary links still work. Cloudflare’s security checks and cookie-free statistics described above apply in every region.

Your privacy choices (United States)

Some of the advertising and measurement described above may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” of personal information under certain US state privacy laws. You can opt out on Your Privacy Choices. We also treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as an opt-out.

After you opt out:

New advertisements are requested with Google’s restricted data processing, so ads may still appear but are not personalized based on your information.
We stop sending advertising-interaction measurements to Google Ads and Google Analytics.
Basic Google Analytics statistics may continue with Google signals and ad personalization turned off.

An opt-out applies from the moment you make it. It does not undo earlier processing or remove an advertisement that is already displayed. Your choice is saved in your browser, so it applies only to that browser, and clearing your browser storage removes it.

To make another privacy request, such as a request to know or delete personal information, email us at support@coloryoureye.com. We may need to verify your request. Because we do not keep visitor accounts or our own visitor-level records, most information about your visit is held by the services named above, which you can also contact directly.

Children

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Links to providers’ websites and to our sources take you to sites with their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for their practices.

Changes to this policy

We will update this policy when our practices change and show the date of the latest update at the top of this page.
